Morning Matcha
Swap your coffee for this yummy alternative! A matcha latte is the perfect way to start the day. You may have heard of a matcha latte in a plethora of coffee shops, so just what is it? Matcha is a vibrant green tea powder made from finely powdered dried tea leaves. Drinking matcha is both calming and energising, and above all else, it’s delicious. It’s creamy, earthy not to mention being filled with anti-oxidants.
Ingredients
A quarter of a teaspoon of matcha
3/4 cup of oat milk
A quarter cup of water
A teaspoon of honey
Start by slowly heating the milk in a pan (or use a milk frother). Whilst the milk is heating sift half a teaspoon of matcha into a bowl, add a quarter cup of hot water and whisk thoroughly until it’s foamy. Once this is done add the warm milk, mix together and it’s ready to drink.
I like to sweeten the flavour by adding a touch of honey.
